Fred O'Connor
|
Fred O'Connor is copy editor based in Boston. He also periodically serves as a general-assignment correspondent. While Fred writes stories on a range of technology issues, he is especially interested in topics related to the Internet, mobile telecommunications and consumer electronics.
Fred joined the News Service in 2003 after relocating to Boston from Los Angeles, where he held assorted post-production roles in the television industry. He also spent four years in The Boston Globe's Sports department as a high school sports reporter. His beat included cross country, indoor track and outdoor track in addition to covering state tournaments in other sports. He also wrote sports feature stories on assorted athletic topics for a weekly regional section of the paper.
Beyond journalism, he holds interests in running, cooking and traveling.
