1969: IDC U.K., IDC's first international office, is established

1982: PC World (U.S.) is launched

1999: LinuxWorld Conference & Expo debuts
2000: Pat McGovern and Lore Harp McGovern commit $350 million to MIT to establish Institute for Brain Research
