Kerry Davis
Kerry Davis works for IDG News Service as a multimedia journalist based in San Francisco. She covers Silicon Valley news, big news of the day and feature stories that pique her interest.
Davis has been with IDG since September 2011. She earned her master's degree from the Philip Merrill School of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2011. While there, she earned a fellowship for travel to Japan and covered the Chesapeake Bay beat. Her favorite story landed her in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay overnight, on a boat that had run out of gas.
She worked on a food safety fellowship for News21, a national reporting project funded by the Carnegie-Knight Initiative during the summer of 2011, traveling to the Port of Los Angeles to report on foreign food imports. Before switching to multimedia, she worked as a TV reporter and fill-in anchor at KVLY-TV in Fargo, N.D. where she covered county courts and government. She also worked at WPRI-TV in Providence, R.I.
For fun, Davis likes to read, hike, volunteer, travel and bake.
