As a staff writer for the IDG News Service, Zach covers social networking and startups, as well as mobile and consumer apps. He joined IDG in 2013 after working as a reporter for the Gray Sheet, a trade journal published by Elsevier focused on the medical technology industry, based in Washington, D.C. At the Gray Sheet, Zach covered mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy and business trends affecting medical device firms nationwide, as well as new products, FDA regulatory panels and hearings on Capitol Hill.
