Former CEO of Yahoo China Zhou Hongyi to Join IDG's Chinese Venture Arm

Yahoo China's former Chief Executive Zhou Hongyi will join IDG Technology Venture Investment Inc. as a venture partner on Sept. 1. Zhou, who announced his resignation last month after disagreements with Yahoo over Chinese operations, will focus on the Internet and mobile sectors as well as other areas like information technology as a venture partner, said Young Guo, an IDG general partner. IDG Technology Venture Investment is part of International Data Group Inc., a U.S. publishing and media company.
