IDG forming international subsidiaries

Boston technology publisher International Data Group said it is forming subsidiaries in South Korea and India, and plans to launch a global publication focused on outsourcing. In South Korea, IDG acquired IT World Communications Inc., for an undisclosed sum. IDG also plans to invest $20 million to develop a publishing subsidiary in Bangalore, India, and to hire 200 people there over the next five years.
