Technology spending to slow in 2008: report; 'Web gadgets,' mobility and overseas markets to be hot areas, IDC says

Worldwide spending on information technology will grow at a slower rate in 2008 due to "economic uncertainties," according to a report released Thursday by the International Data Corp. But tech companies will be able to build on momentum achieved in specific areas, such as mobility, online applications and communities and emerging markets, the research group said.
