DMN: [What is your] view on sponsored digital subscriptions?
PK: With print, you have both a financial and physical audit trail. With paid e-zines, the physical trail doesn't exist, but the financial does. With sponsored e-zines, there is neither a financial or physical trail. And we are concerned that too much of the overall use of digital subscriptions has been from sponsored sources. The actions of a few big users of sponsored digital subscriptions put the whole e-zine category at risk of being perceived as a low-quality circulation source.
