Understanding video game ratings

Video game ratings are supposed to be very similar to movie ratings. The big difference is most people are pretty familiar with movie ratings. Though the big labels on the box seem pretty obvious, it's still important for any adult buying a game for any child to know what these letters mean. "If parents are making any pitfalls it's that they're not getting involved enough in their children's playing decisions," says Sid Shuman of GamePro magazine. "It's just like with movies."
