PC World announces promotions

International Data Group's PC World announced Wednesday the promotion of Michael Carroll to VP-publisher of PCWorld.com and custom publishing. Additionally, Wayne Silverman was promoted to VP-publisher of PC World magazine. Previously, both held the title of associate publisher. The promotions come in the wake of former PC World publisher Bob Ostrow's departure to take the president-publisher position with InfoWorld, another IDG company. Jeff Edman remains president-CEO of PC World Communications.
