PM's visit a success regarding investment and business

Chairman of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc said the US visit by Prime Minister Phan Van Khai was a great success in terms of investment and business, as it saw the signing of 1 billion USD worth of contracts, a record figure for a single visit. The MoU we signed with the IDG focuses on improving information supply to Vietnamese businesses to facilitate their activities. The IDG will also cooperate with the VCCI to organise IT-related events in Viet Nam and the region, for example exhibitions and technical training courses. Microsoft and the IDG will coordinate with the VCCI to organise a high-level meeting of APEC business people in Ha Noi next year, alongside the APEC (Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum) Summit.
