DEMO@VORTEX Participants Launch Future of Networking
SAN MATEO, CA – MAY 18, 2001- IDG Executive Forums VORTEX 2001 conference will feature 15 demonstrators launching never-before-seen products and services in the second annual DEMO@VORTEX segment. Analysts Chris Shipley and Jim Forbes selected frontrunners in the networking product development arena to exhibit this year's most impactful products, representing the future of the industry. The demonstrators join a select group of 300 senior executives, business development leaders, venture capitalists, and media influencers at VORTEX, which will take place in Laguna Niguel, California, May 22-24, 2001.
"This year's demonstrators represent significant advancements in voice-over-IP, wireless networking and Internet-based PDA customization technologies," said Shipley, vice president of editorial at IDG Executive Forums. "VORTEX attendees will be the first to experience the next big thing in networking."
Shipley and Forbes reviewed more than one hundred companies to select this year's DEMO@VORTEX demonstrators. Companies were selected based on the fact that they introduce a new category or usage model, redefine a business or category, or are an excellent candidate for partnerships. Each company will introduce products or services that will have a significant impact on the networking industry and other product arenas.
