Hard-To-Come-By Tickets To Webby Awards 2000 To Be Auctioned
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – MAY 1, 2000 – The Webby Awards 2000 (http://www.webbyawards.com) announced today that two tickets for its invitation-only May 11th event will be auctioned on eBay, with proceeds going to the restoration of Huntington Park's historic "Fountain of the Tortoises".
Beginning today, fans can bid for the hard-to-come-by tickets (item #320149585) on eBay http://www.ebay.com by going to the "Theatre Tickets" category in the "Everything Else" section.
The 1910 bronze and marble fountain and Huntington Park will serve as the centerpiece for the Webby Awards post-ceremony celebration. Joining forces on the restoration project are the The Nob Hill Association, the San Francisco Arts Commission, the Nob Hill community, and countless other sponsors.
