IDC and Advantiv Join Forces To Accelerate Enterprise Application Selection And Adoption
FRAMINGHAM, MA — NOVEMBER 27, 2000 — IDC and Advantiv, Inc. today announced a partnership aimed at dramatically improving the process of assessing, selecting, and implementing mission-critical enterprise application systems. The companies will combine their expertise to offer an Internet-based platform that provides software, a methodology, and valuable intelligence on technology-specific topics, including enterprise information portals, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, ebusiness, document management, data warehousing, and many others.
Under terms of the IDC/Advantiv agreement, Advantiv will provide the software and infrastructure that power the solution, and IDC will provide intellectual capital about specific technology products including feature function criteria, operating environment, and critical business issues. The partnership will provide customers with critical information and a structured environment to improve their decision process. The product is scheduled to be launched before year end and will be available under IDC's IT Advisory Tools product set.
