IDC Invites Software Vendors to Participate in Its Annual “Innovative Companies to Watch” Survey

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., June 23, 2011 – International Data Corporation (IDC) is inviting independent software vendors to participate in its annual "Innovative Companies to Watch" survey for the applications and business analytics markets. This research highlights software vendors who exemplify innovative solutions around emerging software trends that in turn clearly demonstrate an improved return on investment (ROI) for their clients.

"Senior IDC software analysts have determined a set of key trends shaping the applications and business analytics markets and we are now asking vendors in those areas to share with us the ways in which they are capitalizing on these developments," stated Henry Morris, senior vice president, Software and Services Research at IDC. "This is an opportunity for IDC to highlight companies that are finding new and inventive ways to adjust their business models based on economic challenges and shifts in buying patterns."

Companies participating in the 2011 IDC Innovative Companies to Watch survey must have less than $100M in revenue for the trailing 12 month period and may not submit a product for consideration that has previously won an IDC Innovative Company to Watch award. Additionally, survey participants will also be asked to supply a customer case study from an implementation completed in 2010. Those selected as "Innovative Companies to Watch" will be highlighted in forthcoming IDC research documents.

The survey will be open from June 22 to July 30, 2011.

Both market areas (applications and business analytics) have their own qualifying top trends. Software vendors can learn more about the study criteria and access the survey by visiting http://www.idc.com/innovativecompaniestowatch2011.jsp.
