IDC Launches New Industry Program Covering the Current State of Future Promise of Wireless Business Network Services
FRAMINGHAM, MA – NOVEMBER 28, 2001 – Wireless technologies have advanced to the point where businesses can start to use them as a strategic differentiator. In response, IDC today announced the launch of a new research service focused on the current state and future potential of wireless business network services (WBNS).
According to IDC, the market for wireless business services is the next long-term, high-margin revenue opportunity for wireless carriers, network equipment companies, device and computer hardware manufacturers, software developers, and ASPs. IDC’s new program is designed to help companies that provide enterprise wireless services understand the complexities of the wireless business market and improve their competitive positioning and overall strategic direction in this rapidly evolving market segment.
