IDG Enterprise Appoints Brian Glynn and Sean Weglage to Executive Committee Seats

FRAMINGHAM, MA — October 06, 2010 — IDG Enterprise (publisher of CIO, Computerworld, CSO, InfoWorld, ITworld and Network World), announces the appointment of Brian Glynn and Sean Weglage to SVP/Online. With these promotions, Glynn and Weglage join IDG Enterprise's 14-member Executive Committee.

Joining IDG in 2005, Glynn is credited with revenue growth across all sites under his leadership (CIO.com, Computerworld.com, CSOonline.com and Networkworld.com). During his tenure, Computerworld's worldwide audience, as reported by comScore*, has grown to 3.87 million unique visitors in August 2010 — a 24% increase since February 2010. There have been numerous innovations in ad units and program creation, including vertical sites on Computerworld.com, social media with the CIO Forum on LinkedIn, CSO Daily Dashboard and Fast Forward webcasts on Networkworld.com, all designed to meet customers' marketing objectives.

Joining IDG in 1993, Weglage has been instrumental in creating new editorially driven sponsorship programs on InfoWorld.com, including the Deep Dive and Bootcamp programs which have resulted in a 24% revenue increase in the past year. Under his leadership, ITworld was named to Media Business' List of 10 Great Media Sites in the in the Web 2.0/Tech category that focuses on sites with strong community/social media aspects. This award also highlighted innovative advertising programs including the Sponsored Blog and Feature Download. Weglage currently oversees online sales for InfoWorld.com, ITworld.com, ITNews.com and ITWhitePapers.com.

Glynn and Weglage are teaming up to provide new initiatives across IDG Enterprise's sites, including iPad and mobile applications, expanded social media channels and custom online solutions to drive leads and enhance relationships.
