IDG Enterprise Launches Premium Data Services to Expand Display Advertising Reach with Retargeting
New Data Program Combines First and Third-Party Data with Robust Advertising Technology
Framingham, Mass. – June 14, 2012 – IDG Enterprise—the media company comprising CFOworld, CIO, CIO Executive Council, Computerworld, CSO, DEMO, InfoWorld, ITworld and Network World—announces the launch of Premium Data Services. This new area of IDG Enterprise products will utilize the IDG TechNetwork advertising technology and robust first and third-party data to build and utilize the profile of IDG Enterprise’s premium site visitors; in turn, enabling IDG Enterprise’s advertising partners to improve their overall marketing efforts. This is accomplished through a combination of visitor engagement with IDG Enterprise’s premium content and first-party visitor data, robust advertising technology platform and third-party data, and expanded reach with a premium ad network, the IDG TechNetwork, which includes more than 450 sites. Premium Data Services are debuting with two new products: Brand Scale and Target Scale.
IDG Enterprise’s Brand Scale
Brand Scale extends an advertiser’s reach to IDG Enterprise’s premium audience beyond the IDG Enterprise branded sites as visitors engage with the IDG TechNetwork sites. Brand Scale creates an efficient extension of branding campaigns by delivering an advertising program based on technology taxonomy (consumerization of IT, cloud, data center, mobile, security, storage and virtualization) and visitor engagement on IDG Enterprise sites. The advertising program is served based on advertiser selected taxonomy, as visitors engage with sites across the IDG TechNetwork.
IDG Enterprise’s Target Scale
Target Scale expands on the Brand Scale components by incorporating third-party data points on top of technology taxonomy, to extend the reach to specific audience targets. Through Target Scale, advertisers can include filters on company size, industry and purchase intent to maximize the focus of their banner campaign.
“As a premium publisher we deliver a wealth of data and domain expertise to our customers with regard to the IT audience. Our Premium Data Services products take it a step further by utilizing innovative advertising technology platforms to maximize targeting capabilities and increase effectiveness of campaigns, ” said Brian Glynn, SVP digital sales, IDG Enterprise. “Ultimately, our job is to connect technology marketers with the best and biggest IT buyers. Premium Data Services increases the odds that there will be a match. ”
“In today’s digital landscape the user is the new destination and marketers need to be able to target prospects no matter where they are on the web. Data is key to this process,” said Pete Longo, CEO, IDG TechNetwork. “The Brand Scale and Target Scale programs utilize the strength and scale of the IDG TechNetwork, in combination with the IDG Enterprise audience and brands, making this a premium package for marketers looking to engage IT decision-makers.”
