IDG Launches CIO Magazine in Poland
BOSTON, MA – NOVEMBER 5, 2001 – International Data Group (IDG), the world's leading technology media company, today announced the launch of CIO Poland, the country's first publication designed to bridge the gap between IT issues and strategic business decisions and the company’s eighteenth publication in Eastern Europe. With its debut, CIO Poland will address business management and technology trends impacting top executives in Poland's emerging IT market. Inspired by the success of the well-received CIO Germany, this launch marks the first time CIO magazine has been introduced to Eastern European audiences.
"The focus of most IT publications on technology products and breaking news left a clear void in Poland’s IT publishing market," said Kazimierz Szot, IDG Poland general manager. "CIO Poland was developed specifically to seize that opportunity – providing Poland's growing community of senior IT decision-makers with access to information that clearly and concisely links business and technology-related issues, in terms they can understand and put into action."
Led by Editor-in-Chief Iwona Bartczak, CIO Poland offers CIOs, CXOs and other senior-level business managers access to comprehensive technical and analytical content, helping them to develop and maintain streamlined, forward-looking IT strategies. The new bi-monthly publication will focus on providing original, solutions-oriented content to its readers in Poland.
With a heavy emphasis on case studies, and interviews with prominent industry leaders and regional business executives, readers will gain access to the timely, in-depth information they need to make strategic IT business decisions. Future issues will include case studies on supply chain management, and IT investment trends in Poland.
CIO Poland has an initial qualified controlled circulation of 12,000. In conjunction with this launch, CIO Poland will also unveil the publication's companion web site (www.cio.com.pl) that will feature content focused on CIO-relevant topics from best practices and IT strategies of global companies, to analyst data and careers.
With the launch of CIO Poland, award-winning CIO magazine is published in ten countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, China, India, Germany, and the United States.
