IDG Remains Leading European Technology Publisher
BOSTON, MA – AUGUST 3, 2000 – International Data Group (IDG), the world's leading provider of IT media and information services, today announced revenue gains in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), resulting in a 32 percent share of tech ad pages in the region for the quarter ended March 31, 2000. IDG's share of ad pages is more than double that of the nearest competitor, VNU, which has a 15 percent share, according to recently released data from AC Neilsen MMS.
"As Europe races to restructure its economy for the Internet, technology is playing a critical role in the region's increased competitiveness," said Kelly Conlin, IDG president and CEO. "IDG's 25-year history of delivering technology information to the region's most influential buyers gives technology suppliers the most effective marketing channel for their messages in print, online and events platforms."
