IDG World Expo Appoints New VP to Manage LinuxWorld and OSBC Brands
FRAMINGHAM, MA – July 19, 2005 – IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for IT markets, today announced the appointment of Melinda Kendall as Brand Vice President of IDG World Expo. Kendall will be responsible for LinuxWorld Conference & Expo and Open Source Business Conference (OSBC).
Kendall has nearly 20 years of B2B media experience including positions at ZD Events, Ziff Davis Publishing and MediaLive International. While at ZD Events, Kendall managed a division responsible for Java Internet Business Expo, Web INNOVATION, and the Global Information Infrastructure Awards. Kendall also successfully launched COMDEX/Enterprise Conference and Expo. Most recently Kendall has been serving as the Acting Vice President of Event Audits for BPA Worldwide, the leading media auditing company.
