IDG’s CSO Magazine Editor in Chief Derek Slater Named ”Top Innovator” by BtoB’s Media Business Magazine

FRAMINGHAM, MA – MAY 8, 2006 – IDG's award-winning CSO magazine ( proudly announces Derek Slater, CSO magazine's editor in chief, is the distinguished recipient of BtoB's Media Business magazine's "Top Innovator" honors (category: editor-in-chief). Slater was selected from a national pool of BtoB magazine editors for his skill in keeping CSO editorial at the forefront of security reporting, providing thought leadership to readers and leveraging the website as a channel for building a security-smart culture.

In addition, CSO is experiencing record financial success with print ad revenue up 17%, online revenue up 98% (first half FY 06 vs. first half FY 05) and event revenue up 133% (YTD FY 06 vs. FY 05).
