Macworld 2010 to Host the Largest Collection of Apps Under One Roof
FRAMINGHAM, MA. – February 8, 2010 – Macworld 2010 will host the largest face-to-face viewing of applications for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch devices, IDG World Expo, owner of Macworld 2010, announced today. Attendees at Macworld 2010 will be able to test-drive over 100 of the hottest apps and connect directly with the app developers at the Mobile Application Showcase, featuring leading companies including TomTom, Tap 11, Bing, BeeJive, Square and many more. Additionally, both attendees and developers will be able to learn about developing and marketing their own apps at a series of iPhone-dedicated training sessions.
“The iPhone/iPod Touch app marketplace has exploded over the past 12 months, presenting developers with both opportunities and marketing challenges, and presenting users with a plethora of choice but a dearth of product information. For consumers who want to know what to buy, and developers who want to make their mark, Macworld 2010 is the place to be,” said Paul Kent, vice president and general manager for Macworld 2010. “With the proliferation of available apps, competition for mindshare and customers has become more intense, so we are excited to have added the Mobile Application Showcase to Macworld 2010 as the premier forum for app developers to engage with customers, press, other developers and potential investors. It's also the best place on the planet for consumers to get to test out apps and meet their creators.”
In addition to the largest collection of mobile apps, Macworld 2010 will offer training opportunities exclusively related to iPhones as follows:
