Panel of Judges Selected for Million Dollar Media Prize at DEMOfall 09

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Septmeber 2, 2009 – The DEMO conference, the world-renowned launch platform for some of the most notable emerging technologies introduced over the past two decades, today announced the list of judges who are slated to choose one enterprise and one consumer technology who will split the one million dollar IDG media prize at DEMOfall 09.

A panel of industry luminaries from the DEMO ecosystem – venture investors, corporate development officers, proven entrepreneurs, technology reporters and bloggers – will evaluate each demonstrator's onstage launch and overall value proposition in order to determine the two winners.

Current judges include:

There will be three judges per session, who will have ten minutes following presentations to discuss the best emerging trends and ideas presented. Each judge will then decide on their favorite company, resulting in one enterprise and one consumer category winner. Winners will be announced at the close of the conference by DEMO Executive Producers, Matt Marshall and Chris Shipley.

"These judges, representing the perspective of both investors and veteran entrepreneurs, bring an important new dynamic to the DEMO stage: real-time engagement with the demonstrating companies as they bring their new products to market," said Chris Shipley, Executive Producer of DEMO.

The multi-faceted media package will be extended to the winners from October 2009 through March 2010, promoting the launch of the selected companies across the most relevant IDG brands such as: CIO, Computerworld, InfoWorld, MacWorld, Network World, PC World, The Industry Standard, among others, as well as the DEMO and VentureBeat Web sites. Each campaign will utilize numerous promotional vehicles over the course of six months including print advertisements, Web banner placements, text link promotions, email newsletter promotions, video ads, etc.
