Sept. 29 Deadline Approaching for Storage Networking World’s ”Best Practices in Storage” Awards; Sector’s Top Award to Recognize Excellence in Users of Storage Technology

FRAMINGHAM, MA – SEPTEMBER 21, 2006 – Storage Networking World (SNW), in conjunction with Computerworld and the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA), is seeking IT user-organization case study submissions for its "Best Practices in Storage" Awards Program. Entries much be submitted online by 5 p.m. ET Sept. 29.

Invited to submit for the award are: IT users/implementers; systems integrators/consultants; IT vendors on behalf of customers, or, their own in-house deployment; and PR Firms of behalf of clients. Multiple submissions of case studies describing different deployments per company/organization will be considered.

Five finalists in each category will be recognized at Storage Networking World, October 31 – November 3, 2006, at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Resort, Orlando, Fla. The top two honorees in each category will be recognized on the main stage during the SNW Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony. All finalists will be recognized on the event website, in an event press release, and may be featured in a special supplement of Computerworld magazine.

End-user finalists will receive complimentary conference registrations.

Honorees and finalists will be recognized in each of the following five categories:

— Planning, Designing and Building a Strategic Storage Infrastructure

— Storage Reliability and Data Recovery

— Securing the Storage Fortress

— Systems Implementation

— Innovation and Promise
