Sun’s Scott McNealy and Google’s Sergey Brin to Keynote at LinuxWorld San Francisco
FRAMINGHAM, MA – MAY 7, 2002 – IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for IT markets, announced today the keynote lineup for the upcoming LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, to be held August 12-15, 2002 at San Francisco's Moscone Center. LinuxWorld will also feature a joint presentation by Red Hat and Amazon.com, providing the Linux and business community with an insider's view into Amazon.com's cost-saving Linux migration. In a feature presentation scheduled for Wednesday, August 14 at 12:30 pm, Red Hat CTO Michael Tiemann and Amazon.com's Director of Systems Engineering, Jacob Levanon, will share details on Amazon.com's migration to Linux. Tiemann and Levanon will outline specific benefits realized by Amazon.com as a result of the company's migration to Linux, including millions of dollars in cost savings and increased stability, reliability and scalability.
