The IDG Connect Program Delivers Millions of IT and Business Professionals to Technology Marketers
BOSTON, MA – FEBRUARY 15, 2007 – International Data Group (IDG) has combined readers of its award-winning print and online media with attendees of major IDG trade shows to produce the richest database of IT professionals in North America. IDG Connect features more than six million buyer prospects for lead generation programs by technology marketers. The database represents pre-qualified professionals who rely on CIO, Computerworld, CSO, InfoWorld, LinuxWorld.com, JavaWorld.com, Macworld, Network World, and PC World for their news and information. Attendees who go to events such as Macworld Conference & Expo, LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, and IDG conferences comprise the rest of the database.
The IDG Connect database is sorted by major IT categories such as business intelligence, storage, security, networking, and more than 20 other segments. Technology marketers use the electronic lists for email campaigns to the most likely prospects for their products and services. Almost 60 percent of the people have been identified as IT decision makers with business executives making up approximately 25 percent.
Starting last May, HP began its Change Artists program based in large part on live CEO and CIO interviews over the web. Executives from FedEx, Reuters, McKesson, and Johnson & Johnson have discussed their relationships and the importance of technology to a successful business. “HP selected multiple media companies to promote the HP Change Artists campaign and attract registrants to view the online interviews,” said Matt Yorke, senior vice president, IDG Corporate Sales. “IDG Connect provided the highest quality names and consistently delivered the most responses for each episode. In addition, HP wanted senior titles and IDG Connect provided more of them than any other source.”
Each IDG Connect program is tailored to customer requirements. In-depth reporting is also part of the package.
IDG Connect Library
A library of white papers, webcasts, podcasts, and case studies is part of the IDG Connect offering. Information developed by IT vendors and posted in IDG media sites in the US is available in one location sorted by technology category and fully searchable. The reach of the IDG Connect database may be used to bring prospective buyers to content that is most appropriate for them. If a marketer needs print or electronic assets to be produced, IDG will help prepare the material.
“The IDG Connect database of IT and business professionals and the Library bring buyers and sellers together during the product investigation stage all the way to purchase decision,” explained Colin Crawford, senior vice president of online, IDG Communications. “IDG Connect leverages the power and effectiveness of IDG media and events in developing a qualified leads pipeline for IT providers of all sizes.”
