Ziff Davis Enterprise and IDG TechNetwork Form First-of-a-Kind Strategic Partnership; Creates One of Industry’s Largest IT Tech Networks
NEW YORK – July 8, 2009 – Ziff Davis Enterprise and IDG TechNetwork announced today that they have signed a business partnership designed to help technology marketers and agencies reach a larger audience with their branding, product launch and lead generation programs. In the first phase of the agreement, Ziff Davis Enterprise's Developer Shed Network, a portfolio of web sites and online resources for the developer community, will join the IDG TechNetwork, a successful media and ad network of more than 200 non-IDG publishers.
The Developer Shed Network is an expansive online suite of developer content, tools and community applications featuring 16 web sites, targeted sections, blogs, virtual events and a robust library of both editorial and user-generated content. It boasts a global developer reach of 8 million unique site visitors per month and a robust audience comprised of developers and IT professionals spanning multiple platforms and programming languages and major vertical industries worldwide.
The first alliance of its kind in the IT publishing industry, the partnership brings together the strengths of two of the most prominent and well-respected media companies and will create the most expansive and powerful developer advertising network to date. It is the first of several collaborations planned between the two companies.
"Ziff Davis Enterprise continues to explore and invest in new ways to serve our editorial audience as well as our advertisers," said Steve Weitzner, Ziff Davis Enterprise CEO. "We're excited to be joining forces with IDG TechNetwork, a company who, like us, understands the unique challenges and needs of the enterprise IT and developer communities. For marketers trying to reach the developer community, this partnership offers an efficient and reliable way to reach a larger audience, realize better target market penetration, increase their message relevancy and maximize their online performance."
"Like many publishers, we have partnered with ad networks in the past but have had limited success," said Carine Roman, Senior Vice President, Business Management & Operation, Ziff Davis Enterprise. "IDG TechNetwork however brings to the table an audience that will complement ours and deliver higher advertising engagement to IT companies. Collaborating with vertical ad networks, especially when initiated by a leading technology media company, makes complete sense for us, from a business and strategic perspective."
