Adam Dennison brings more than 20 years of media, events and technology marketplace experience to his role as Senior Vice President/General Manager, IDG Events/CIO Executive Council (CEC) & Publisher, CIO. In this unique role, Dennison oversees the teams responsible for creating engagement points with tech executives through events and community. The IDG events portfolio builds relationships between tech executives and tech vendors through face to face events. The CEC provides strategic leadership development for the transforming c-suite at the world’s most influential and evolving organizations. Additionally, Dennison plays a strategic role for the CIO brand, establishing the go-to-market strategy, including brand positioning, market research and creating turnkey solutions for his clients.
A popular moderator, speaker and columnist, Dennison possesses an in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies and key strategies for marketing to IT decision-makers. Dennison joined IDG in 2007 as National Sales Director for the Custom Solutions Group where he excelled in providing innovative marketing services.
Prior to joining IDG, Dennison spent 6 years in tech media sales at CMP’s flagship brands InformationWeek and CRN.
Dennison is a graduate of Syracuse University in New York with a B.A. in International Relations.
